Stichting Stokroos aims to foster a society in which visual artists, designers, and craft practitioners play a prominent role. The foundation seeks to support their development and to act as a springboard for promising talent.
We are particularly interested in plans in which tradition and innovation enter into a surprising interplay. This is reflected in a strong focus on projects and practices with an emphasis on craft and materiality, while, in our view, this is inseparable from critical, engaged, and conceptual perspectives.
The foundation aims to stimulate both the artistic and professional development of creators. In addition, we seek to encourage encounters and the exchange of knowledge.
